Parking Permits

The 2022 process for parking permits is only done electronically with Passport, a new platform used by the Village of Pelham. Please note this permit is paperless and once you purchase it online, the police department will be notified that you have a valid permit. User may list up to three cars on each permit, but please note that only one car may be parked in the lots at a given time.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Village Ordinance regulating parking, the undersigned, who will be the driver of the motor vehicle described above, hereby makes application for the issuance of a permit to park said vehicle in the parking area designated in said ordinance when space therein is available. Applicant represents that he/she maintains his/her primary place of residence in the Village of Pelham. The undersigned agrees that the Village of Pelham will not be liable for any loss or damage to the above-described motor vehicle or its equipment occurring while such motor vehicle is parked in any parking area in said Village.

Please note: There is a very high demand for parking permit spaces. If you do not renew or obtain your permit by December 31 your space will be given to the next person on the waiting list.

As a current parking permit holder, you will be able to go into the Passport system to obtain your permit for 2022. All permits must be done online through the Passport system. Please be aware that only monthly parking permits will be offered for 2022, please note the adjusted rates. As you may know, Parking Lot 2 is reaching the end of its useful life and will be decommissioned in the near future. While the precise timing is still unknown, we are not able to guarantee full-year parking availability. Future changes may impact all those who currently purchase parking permits in the Village of Pelham. The Village is currently developing a comprehensive parking plan intended to provide options for all existing permit holders and we will provide additional information prior to implementing any changes. Procedure

The procedure is as follows:

1. Go to the Pelham Parking Permits website. Those who currently have monthly permits will be able to go in and renew their permits. Anyone who currently holds a Quarterly, Semi-Annual or Annual permit will have to go in and reapply as new for a monthly permit. Hit add permit to begin the process. Please make sure the date is changed to January 2022. For convenience, you can set up auto-pay to automatically renew monthly after Mid-January when you get the renewal for February and go in to pay. Please only apply for a lot that you are currently in. Anyone who tries to apply for a different lot will be denied.
2. Renewals and new permits must upload the requested information. No pictures of registrations from vehicles (windshields) will be accepted only the cards with name, address, and car information are accepted. Any applications with pictures of registrations from the windshield of the vehicle will be denied. Incomplete application packages will not be processed. Permits are not transferable from one person to another.
3. Proof of employment must be provided for merchant parking permits.
4. After the application is received it will go into an approval queue to be reviewed and approved. If it is approved you will be sent an email through the system that will tell you to go back in and pay. If you are denied you will receive an email explaining why you were denied and what you will need to resubmit.
